Spring Weekend

Spring arrived in England. Yes, I know, it also arrived in Germany and even Minneapolis, but even in England we had some very nice and sunny days. And the best thing was that Dave had Friday off. The only appointment we had was at the vet. Nothing serious, but Amber needed her routine shots. After that we decided to go to Cambridge again. Cambridge has the only Sushi place in our area and so I am looking for excuses to go there as often as possible. And it is only a 40 minutes drive from Thetford. Since the weather was so nice I decided to take my camera with me to share some further Cambridge impressions with you:

And here is the river Cam:

During the summer the boat tour operator literally get into fights over possible customers. Now, in March, they just ask at every corner whether you would like to go on boat trip on the river. We never did it, but it must be very nice. The river runs behind all the historic colleges and provides a perfect view on them.

On Sunday we decided to go for a nice long walk in the woods and heath. The weather was still very nice and we did some more geocaching. This time we went to the West Stow Country Park, a little bit south of Thetford, but we've never been there before.

Well, that wasn't correct. Dave looked at a map there and we found out that this country park is near by the "Anglo Saxon Village", an open air museum we've visited with Nico two years ago.

We walked in that area for three hours. Of course we found the geocache! And Amber had the chance to take a quick bath in this beautiful lake.

And then we met him or her? Do you know the TV show Catweazel?

Now it looks like spring is over. No, that doesn't mean summer is already here. It is more a typical western Europe April weather. Which means it can change within a minute. It is very windy here with both, sun and heavy rain, yes, even hale and thunder. The temperatures also dropped to 10C (sorry, I still don't calculate them in Fahrendheit).
But we are optimistic. Yesterday we brought our mountain bikes to a shop for doing some adjustments on them. I also started to put away my winter cloths and do some Easter decoration on the house.

Yesterday we attended the next meeting dealing with more facts about our move in October. This time it wasn't about moving the dog, it was more about our stuff. And we also set our wanted day for moving to October 1st. We will see. Anyway, I am planning a big going away party for September.
