A year ago in Alaska...

... we had our legal wedding. Actually the day was yesterday and not today, but yesterday I have been busy celebrating ;o) Dave made a reservation at our favorite restaurant here in England, Tuddenham Mill, and he even arranged for a taxi to pick us up. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, talked about Alaska, Hatcher Pass, the Motherlode Lodge and everybody who made that legal wedding more than just signing papers. When I ordered my dessert they had "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on my plate. It was so nice! Have a look at us and the dessert:

Last week we really went out a lot. Not just for our anniversary. On Thursday we went to a Japanese dinner organized by a cooking school class in Cambridge and on Saturday we had an early St. Patrick's Day dinner. Everybody had to bring some Irish and/or green food. Now I know how to make Irish Soda Bread ;o) In addition I brought a traditional Irish apple cake (made with original Scottish Whiskey).

Spring is here. After a long and for England unusually cold winter we had a nice and sunny weekend and today, on Monday, the temperatures went up to 17C (sorry, I still post in international standard metric system ;o)) Everywhere you look there are flowers, the first trees have blossoms already and everywhere is fresh green. It is so nice to see spring and summer come and I can't wait for the first really nice and warm days when I can go for a daytrip to the beach. But I am pretty sure that I will post some more before this will happen.
